    Challenge

    EV cells are temperature-sensitive; a cooling plate with internal coolant channels needs high thermal conductivity and leak-tight construction. The hard part: internal material quality (porosity and inclusions from casting) turns directly into leak failures.

    Approach

    The partner is a full-cycle aluminum plant — casting its own rod, then extruding, machining, joining, and finishing in-house. The material is high-conductivity 3003 series; controlling internal quality from the casting stage secures leak-test yield at the source.

    Outcome

    Approved on a top-tier global maker's supplier list, supplying cooling plates and module end plates for EV traction batteries. Recycled aluminum (an 80,000 t/yr operation) also cuts the environmental footprint.
