  1. 01

    Challenge

A glass run channel must follow the door's 3D curvature while holding the cross-section precision that governs smooth glass travel — over a long length. Even slight section waviness translates directly into rattles or binding.

  2. 02

    Approach

A two-stage approach: roll-form the section to precision, then sweep it to the door's curvature in a dedicated bending step. The material is zinc-coated HSS (HC340LAD+Z); for corrosion-critical specs the same section is also formed in SUS316.

  3. 03

    Outcome

In mass production for automotive customers. Offering the same functional section in both steel and stainless allows flexible response to per-model and per-grade spec differences.
