    Challenge

Reinforcement beams inside an EV battery tray must deliver crash-grade strength and range-saving light weight at once. In conventional stamping, 980MPa-class steel suffers hard-to-control springback and cracking, making yield unstable.

    Approach

Roll forming bends the steel gradually, keeping 980MPa-class material stable. Partner factory BRFM pairs in-house-designed roll tooling with an in-line laser-welding line to produce closed-section beams continuously, with 100% in-line dimensional monitoring.

    Outcome

Now in mass production for a major EV maker's battery trays — holding material cost below aluminum extrusion while meeting crash targets. The same section know-how extends to energy-storage (ESS) enclosure frames.
